DUSTIN DURHAM
PHOTOGRAPHY
Hi. My name is Dustin.
This is my second semester at Three Rivers. I was born and raised in Frankfort, Kentucky. I have been an official resident of Waterford, Connecticut for a little over a year now. I came to Connecticut three years ago when my older brother Sean was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. After his passing last April, and with my sister-in-law Monique's unwavering support, I decided to stay and go to school full-time and pursue a degree in Graphic Design. I feel like my brother would be proud to see where I'm at right now with my studies and the goals I have set in place.
I've always had an infatuation with art, more so that of graphic design and the design process encapsulated within the gaming industry. I first began my journey into the world of digital creation in my early teens. I have watched countless YouTube tutorials over the years pertaining to Adobe Photoshop effects and the manipulation of photos using the various tools provided within the digital landscape. I would just set for hours mimicking the different effects. As years past, I grew further away from the passion I developed for graphic design. I am now on a mission to regain that passion and turn it into a career.
I am excited to continue learning about my newly acquired camera throughout the semester. I have developed an interest in photography, specifically black and white photography. I hope to sharpen my skills as a photographer and learn to adapt in multiple lighting scenarios. I think that would be inspirational to becoming a better photographer.
